Milky Way Mosaic 50 mm f4

© 2014 Klaus Brasch

June 1, 2014 ... Friday night (May 30, 2014) was exceptionally clear and dark at my observatory, with no wind and mild temps, perfect for piggy back photography. Here is a montage of 6 overlapping images taken with the Canon 6D and the wonderful 50 mm fixed focus f/1.8 lens closed down to f/4. Each image was a stack of two taken at ISO 3200 and 6400, 1 min each and no filters. Thanks to the PS CS6 panorama feature and other magic, the final is seamless and I was able to remove all those pesky airplane and satellite trails...:)
