Milky Way Over my Observatory July 9, 2015

Here is my first go with a new toy: an 8 mm, f/3.5, 180 degree Rokinon HD lens, showing the Milky Way over my observatory. This is a stack of 4 x 1 minute exposures at ISO 3200 with the 6D and no filter, shot last night between high clouds. The lens is totally manual and I closed it down to f/5.6. I am amazed at the sharpness all the way across. Some of the odd, bright colors at the edges are due to light pollution and haze near the horizon. Not bad for a $180 deal from B&H.
